BRECKENRIDGE SKI RESORT AND KEYSTONE RESORT ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH SUMMIT COMMUNITY CARE CLINIC

Through new Vail Resorts 360 charitable giving program, resorts award grant to Care Clinic for important hemoglobin checks for Summit County youth

Today, Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort announced a partnership with the Summit Community Care Clinic to support local children’s health services. The Care Clinic provides medical, dental and mental health services to more than 350 Summit County youth each year. Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort, through the Vail Resorts 360 charitable giving program, will help to fund a portion of these essentials services by sponsoring free hemoglobin checks and growth chart analysis for children who are eligible for a Care Card.

“The Summit Community Care Clinic would like to thank Breckenridge and Keystone resorts for sponsoring this incredibly important program for our Summit County kids,” said Sarah Vaine, executive director for the Summit Community Care Clinic. “With this support, we can focus on providing much-needed, essential care to uninsured and underinsured families.”

The hemoglobin check is a required test for any child participating in the Summit County Head Start program, and enables medical professionals to determine if there is an adequate amount of iron in a child’s diet.

For years, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Keystone Resort and the Vail Resorts family have been committed to working with non-profits where our resorts are located. This year, in an effort to be more focused with its charitable giving and make a larger contribution to the community, the Company launched the new Vail Resorts 360 program with two defined areas of focus for Summit County: youth and the environment.

“The Summit Community Care Clinic represents the same values and goals of the Vail Resorts 360 program,” said Lucy Kay, chief operating officer for Breckenridge Ski Resort. “The Care Clinic ensures that every child in Summit County has the opportunity to seek medical, dental and mental health care regardless of financial means. We want to support programs that make a meaningful difference for children. The Care Clinic provides an integral service which impacts the lives of many families who call Summit County home.”
