Keystone Resort Announces Nov. 7 Opening Day

Following a week of productive snowmaking and five inches of natural snowfall, Keystone Resort announced today its Opening Day is set for Friday, Nov. 7. The 2014-15 season will get underway with first chair at 9 a.m. Friday, officially kicking off the resort’s 44th winter season.

While waiting for first chair, skiers and riders will enjoy warm donut holes from Keystone’s renowned pastry chef Ned Archibald, as well as hot chocolate and coffee at the base of the River Run Gondola.


A DJ will entertain the crowd while special prizes are handed out to guests awaiting the start of another phenomenal season at Summit County’s largest resort.

 

Weekend Animation
The weekend’s festivities will continue Saturday evening at the
 Get Stoked movie festival at Warren Station, located in the heart of Keystone’s River Run Village. Celebrating some of the best women in snow sports with the premier of Unicorn Picnic’s “Pretty Faces”, Warren Station will host a 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. showing of the groundbreaking film. Proceeds from the film will benefit Team Breck Sports Club and Team Summit and audience members may enjoy drink specials and giveaways throughout the evening. Kids Ski Free is Back
Beginning Opening Day, Keystone’s
 Kids Ski Free offer will return for a third season with children 12 and under receiving free lift tickets with just a two or more night stay in any of Keystone’s owned/operated lodging units.
