With over 36 feet of snow, the inaugural year of Peak 6, and one of the longest seasons in Breck history, the 2013/14 ski season was epic.Breckenridge Ski Resort winds down the year with terrific spring skiing conditions and exciting closing weekend events, as this coming weekend the resort hosts their final events of the month-long Breck Spring Fever festival, with an Epic Pro Team Big Air showdown and team autograph signing on Saturday, April 26 and a Closing Day Luau on Sunday, April 27.
Guests of all ages are invited to come to the base of Peak 8 on Saturday, April 26 to see the Epic Pro Team athletes showcasing their talents in spectacular fashion! Watch from the patio of Ski Hill Grill while some of the world’s best freestyle athletes throw down on the huge last jump in the world-renowned Freeway Terrain Park in a Big Air jam session. Following the event, fans will get the chance to take photos and get autographs from their favorite pros & Olympians. This event is free for spectators to attend. Confirmed athletes include 2014 Sochi Olympians Bobby Brown, Keri Herman, Faye Gulini and Possum Torr, as well as Epic Pro Team members Eric Willett, Zack Black, Brett Esser & more!
In addition to the Epic Pro Team event, Breck will hold a luau on Closing Day also at Peak 8. Celebrate the epic 2013-14 season by wearing your favorite tropical shirt or festive beachwear and come sip on drinks out of actual coconuts! While guests kick back and relax in the sun, Breck will roast a pig Hawaiian-style, and will provide party fun items like sunglasses, leis, grass skirts and more, all presented by Barefoot Wine! It’s a Closing Day spring party not to be missed.

Extended Week Details
Due to the above-average snowfall and continued deep snowpack, Breckenridge guests can enjoy an additional seven days of spring skiing and riding, as the resort has extended its season through Sunday, April 27. In previous years, only terrain on Peak 8 was open during extended seasons. This year, Breck will continue to offer three of its peaks during the extended week, with Rip’s Ride, 5 Chair, Colorado SuperChair, T-bar, Imperial SuperChair, Independence SuperChair, Zendo Chair, and Kensho SuperChair all slated for operation on Peaks 6, 7, and 8. Lifts will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. This will give guests a final chance to ski or ride Breck’s newly-added terrain, Peak 6, during its inaugural season.
