BRECKENRIDGE SKI RESORT ANNOUNCES EARLY OPENINGS OF CHAIR 6 AND BACK BOWLS ON PEAK 8

· Chair 6 terrain opens today with back bowl access by this weekend
· Over 20 inches of Thanksgiving snow makes way for one of the earliest openings of Chair 6, giving Breckenridge over 500 acres of terrain

With amazing snow conditions after a Thanksgiving blizzard, Breckenridge Ski Resort will open Chair 6 today with partial back bowl openings on Peak 8 by the weekend, taking Breckenridge’s skiable terrain to over 500 acres. With more snow in the forecast, guests should keep a look out for more terrain openings all week. Skiers and riders will be able to experience some of the local’s favorite runs from Chair 6, famous for soft snow and great trees; Solitude, Amen, Snowbird and more will all be opened today.

“This is a great kickoff to the holiday season, allowing our guests to experience our high altitude skiing and riding,” said Lucy Kay, Chief Operating Officer at Breckenridge Ski Resort. “Our mountain staff has done a fantastic job of utilizing their skills combined with Mother Nature to open this terrain.”

Additional runs opening this weekend include: Adios, Snowbird, Amen, Lobo, Hombre, Solitude, Too Much, Upper Four o’clock, and more.
